1. Los Angeles Lakers
Based in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Lakers are an American professional basketball team who play in the Pacific Division of the Western in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and home games at Staples Centre. With 16 championships they are the most successful team in the record of NBA with a value of $900 million. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar,Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant are the Four Lakers who have won the NBA Most Valuable Player Awards for a total of eight awards. It was started in 1947 with its name originating from the state of Minnesota being the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
2. New York Knicks
Commonly known as the Knicks, the New York Knickerbockers are based in New York City. It was founded in 1946 deriving its name from Washington Irving’s book, A History of New York. Initially a member of Basketball Association of America (BAA) merged with its rivalry to become National Basketball Association (NBA). $783 million as its current rate it is the second most expensive basketball team.
3. Chicago Bulls
Playing in the Central Division of the Eastern Conference in the National (NBA), Chicago Bulls are based in Chicago and was founded in 1966. As of 2012, the Bulls are valued at $600 million with six championships in eight years and two “three-peats”. Chicago Bulls have made records in the NBA by winning 72 games during the 1995 – 1996 NBA seasons. The NBA Most Valuable Player Award was received by Michael Jordan and Derrick Rose for playing for the Bulls.

Frequently referred as the Mavs, the Dallas Mavericks are members of the Southwest Division of the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Founded in 1980, it is located in Dallas. The Mavericks have won three division titles (1987, 2007, 2010), two conference championships (2006, 2011), and one NBA Championship (2011) rising its cost to $497 million. Till date the Mavs have seen nine head coaches.
5. Boston Celtics
Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Boston Celtics is National Basketball Association founded in 1948. The team is currently owned by Boston Basketball Partners LLC and rate almost $482 million. From 1957 to 1969, the Celtics have won 11 championships in 13 years, among them eight in a row (1959–1966). Their mascot ‘Lucky the Leprechaun’ is an ode to the team’s Irish heritage, as well as an ode to the large Irish-American population in Boston.

7. Houston Rockets
Established in 1967, Houston Rockets are an American skilled basketball group. Based in Houston, the Houston Rockets play in the Southwest Division of the Western in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and presently values $453 million. The team won fifteen games in its first season.
8. Golden State Warriors
First established in 1945, as the Philadelphia Warriors, in Philadelphia, the Golden State warriors are now based in Oakland, California. The team has played home games in the Oracle Arena since 1966 and today its rate is $450 million. The team has won total of five championships.
9. San Antonio Spurs
Being a part of the Southwest Division of the Western in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and have won four NBA championships, San Antonio Spurs’s recent value is $418 million. The trained basketball team from America’s San Antonio, Texas was formed in 1967. Spurs players are active members of the San Antonio community and few like David Robinson and George Gervin are still part of the community.
10. Phoenix Suns
The only group from the Pacific Division not based in California, the on date cost of the Phoenix Suns is $395 million. Based in Phoenix, Arizona the team plays their home games in US Airways Centre. The Suns owns the NBS’s fourth best winning percentage, winning 56 percentages of its games. They were also the first major professional sports franchise in the state of Arizona.
